To be honest,...Thank you. Nice to hear that talk.

To be honest, I only see the influence of wind speed in the blue mass in the middle, which likely represents 99.9% of the measurements. (I always tell my students not to make such plots, but to use 2D histograms, if smaller dots are no longer feasible and you cannot show a smaller sample of the data to make your point.)

The largest deviation you mention is actually for a wind speed of 3m/s. I wonder if such differences are due to the maxima having occurred on different days (one day later or earlier). Differences in response time could maybe also contribute. Unfortunately the speaker does not say anything about the reasons, that is what you get with talks, where you can only explain so much.Victor Venemahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02842816166712285801noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9093436161326155359.post-34719476584208959242016-04-03T13:19:55.045+01:002016-04-03T13:19:55.045+01:00https://ams.confex.com/ams/93Annual/webprogram/Pap...https://ams.confex.com/ams/93Annual/webprogram/Paper218322.html ChristianPhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14824207719597301305noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9093436161326155359.post-58560508753709532282016-03-31T13:54:32.456+01:002016-03-31T13:54:32.456+01:00Which AMS video is that?Which AMS video is that?Victor Venemahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02842816166712285801noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9093436161326155359.post-71502375662358513682016-03-31T13:12:33.284+01:002016-03-31T13:12:33.284+01:00In the AMS video, there is a graph of the daily ma...In the AMS video, there is a graph of the daily maximum temperature bias with the wind speed (about up to 16° !) : http://meteo.besse83.free.fr/imfix/ecarttx13uscrncoop500m.pngChristianPhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14824207719597301305noreply@blogger.com
